The Performing Arts Annex of the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA) was the first addition to the campus since it was first built. NOCCA is a nationally recognized training facility that offers intensive instruction of a wide variety of creative and cultural arts. The Performing Arts Annex project was a combination of new and renovated construction consisting of a state-of-the-art scene shop, a dance studio, as well as classrooms for musical theatre, media arts, and costume design. The building was located on one of the few open areas on the original campus grounds and was designed to maintain aesthetic harmony with the existing campus buildings.
