The Gun Talk Podcast Studio was a wholesale renovation to an existing abandoned metal building. The existing metal building was previously used by a former meatpacking company, which came with its unique challenges during design and construction. The design team worked alongside CM Combs Construction and the Client to transform the existing facility into a state-of-the-art office space, podcasting studio, and firearm training facility. Located in a flood plain off of the Tangipahoa River, the building was designed as a "flood proof" facility with a masonry floodwall integrated into the building's exterior envelope.
