Education

The Chalmette Elementary School project is a Pre-K through 5th educational facility constructed on the site of a former middle school. The new 118,000 square foot school houses a district-wide teacher resource center with conference space and meeting rooms, a media center, library, gymnasium, classrooms, as well as courtyard play areas strategically placed between building wings. The building was also designed to incorporate central nodes in each building wing, which promotes inner-activity among the student body. These spaces are used as collaboration areas, presentation space, and/or secondary teaching areas.​​
