Supporting School Operations

Following the flood of 2016, LA, apc was engaged to facilitate repairs to three buildings on the Ascension Parish School Board maintenance campus. One of the buildings was renovated, while LA, apc worked with the owner and FEMA to negotiate the second building as an at-cost replacement facility. The building serves as the headquarters for the School Board’s Child Nutrition Department (including food storage and distribution), Maintenance Department, and Planning & Design Department. The Child Nutrition Department includes offices, a full commercial test kitchen, walk-in coolers and freezers, as well as a 4,000 sf dry food storage space. The Maintenance Department includes office areas as well as training and workshop spaces for carpentry, HVAC, and plumbing. The Planning and Design Department consists mainly of office areas, archive rooms and workspaces.
