The Andrew Jackson Sports Fields project was proposed to kick-start both in-school recess activities as well as after school team sports for the students. The project began by converting an existing grass field into a sports facility capable of supporting baseball, softball, football, soccer, and basketball team sports. The existing tennis court concrete slab was converted to a basketball court, receiving a layer of new asphalt, court coating, and basketball equipment. The football/soccer field was graded, sodded, and finished with field striping. The new baseball and softball fields feature pre-manufactured dugout and bleacher canopy systems as well as color-coated perimeter fencing.
